I'm very happy to introduce another FUE hair restoration doctor as a member of the Hair Transplant Mentor™ group of exceptional hair restoration specialists. This time I'm talking about Dr. Pradeep Sethi of Eugenix Hair Sciences in India. I first learned of Eugenix hair Sciences in early 2018 when one of their patients reached out to me for my opinion of their final result. I was really impressed with what I saw and the patient explained that they had a fantastic overall experience during their visit. I felt it was an excellent introduction to the clinic, whom I had never heard of before this encounter.
Later in the same year I was introduced to Dr. Sethi through a private online discussion group consisting of nearly 100 FUE hair restoration doctors from around the world. Dr. Sethi reached out to me regarding my Youtube channel and he told me that he really appreciated the work I was doing to educate patients. He said he had instructed his entire team to subscribe to my channel and to reference my educational series when patients have questions about surgery in general. I really thought that was a strong move on his part and we became online friend since then. Later, he told me about his new book about hair transplant surgery and asked me to review it for him. After I did, he kindly referenced me as a reviewer in the book itself. I'm now "published", LOL!
The inevitable question arose some several months later about what is involved with becoming a member of the Hair Transplant Mentor™ group of exceptional hair transplant specialists. I informed him of the basics which included IAHRS Associate Member status as a minimum, 750 procedures and my personal opinion on the aesthetics of their work. This merely gets them in the door for consideration before I ask for more detailed information and validation of their policies. After several weeks of back and forth discussion I decided that they certainly appear to be world class FUE hair restoration specialists and I got to work on my first video detailing why I feel they're worth considering.
Since that time, I've gotten to know Dr. Sethi a bit more and I'm impressed by his dedication to the craft of FUE hair restoration surgery. His commitment and passion extends into two key areas that I believe most clinics overlook. The first is patient education. Dr. Sethi spends a lot of time creating videos and slide presentations designed to teach patients the intricacies of hair restoration surgery that most clinics neglect. The reason why Eugenix Hair Sciences is so anxious to educate their patients on the truth about FUE hair transplant surgery is because they understand that a better informed patient is a happier patient. This has been my own understanding for many years. Patients will have more realistic expectations and understand why certain goals are not practical when the truth is explained to them properly. The second area of their dedication involves post operative patient care. When I initially learned about what Eugenix considers proper after surgery care, I was HIGHLY impressed. In fact, I was somewhat shocked by the lengths they go to in order to make sure their patients are well looked after once the procedure has been completed. They proactively stay in touch with their patients on a regular basis for one year solid. Very few FUE hair restoration clinics make such an investment in the long term care of their patients and this was extremely refreshing to see.
One of the things I've been asked about since first introducing the clinic on my Youtube channel, is about their locations. They have numerous clinics in India and the concern was that they conduct surgery at each clinic, every day. This was something I discussed with Dr. Sethi before I accepted his clinic and he told me that every surgery has either himself or his partner, Dr. Arika Bansal, as the lead FUE hair restoration doctor on the case. The only clinics that see surgery every day are the clinic in Mumbai and the clinic in Delhi, where both are located separately. The additional clinics are primarily used for consultations but they will travel to each clinic once a month to also personally perform surgeries themselves. It is also important to note that only doctors are performing the surgical aspects of a procedure and their teams of technicians do all of the heavy lifting with regards to loading implanter pens and making sure grafts are looking good using high power videoscopes and stereoscopic dissecting microscopes.
