I am very happy to announce the first ever true hair transplant pro-bono repair program. This program is called Project Repair. Project Repair has been somewhat of a dream of mine for many years. I have always wanted to be able to provide an opportunity for hair transplant surgery victims to receive the repair they desperately need. Unfortunately, due to overwhelming hair transplant cost that most patients are subject to many patients cannot afford the repair that is necessary for a normal and natural appearance. I was once one … read more
I get a lot of questions on a regular basis. It takes up at least an hour of my day almost every day to answer these questions. One of the more common questions I get asks about hair transplant recommendations and if the doctors I work with are the only doctors I think are doing good work. The answer is more complicated than a simple “yes” or a “no”.
I come from a hair transplant background where my opinion was rooted in the experience I had with one specific clinic. … read more
Another year and another ISHRS meeting has come to a close. This year it was in Chicago, Illinois at the Chicago Hilton in downtown. This years event was recognized as having the highest attendance of any previous ISHRS meeting in it's 23 year history which is a very big accomplishment. The Chicago Hilton was more than adequate for handling such an event as it has 1544 rooms. It is a massive facility with multiple convention rooms on different levels. This year's event was a bit different for me personally as … read more
It is with great pleasure that I am welcoming Dr. Jerry Cooley to the Hair Transplant Mentor™ team. Dr. Cooley is in my opinion one of the greats in the field of hair restoration and hair loss research. Dr. Cooley has been performing high quality, ultra refined hair restoration surgery for nearly twenty years. I don't have an official review of his clinic to share but I will in the near future. Some people may ask me why I have decided to work with Dr. Cooley if there is not … read more
I'm happy to announce the next doctor joining the Hair Transplant Mentor™team, Belgium FUE hair transplant doctor Dr. Emorane Lupanzula from Brussels. I had the pleasure of first meeting Dr. Lupanzula in Istanbul Turkey during the 3rd Annual Mediterranean FUE Workshop. Dr. Lupanzula was on the faculty of the Workshop and was a participating surgeon as invited by the organizers of the event. It was here that I was able to witness Dr. Lupanzula in action where he demonstrated his surgical techniques and how he performs FUE. Dr. Lupanzula also … read more
This is not part of my hair transplant documentary series but when I was in Istanbul for the 2015 3rd Annual Mediterranean FUE Workshop I tried to take advantage of the opportunity and interview some doctors that I know. It was really busy and while I got some verbal commitments from Dr. Cole, Dr. Lorenzo, Dr. Rahal and others it just didn't work out that way. I blame the excellent organizational skills of Asmed Surgical Centre and Dr. Koray Erdogan for keeping us all so busy with activities:) I'm not … read more
Oh boy! It's time to hit the road again. I'm heading back to Europe and this time I'm doing things different than before. I will be conducting clinic reviews, interviews and conducting Hair Transplant Mentor™ Second Opinion Service meetings with men and women that want a second opinion about their consultations or to talk about their surgery if they already had one. I know it is farily last minute, but sometimes that is how things happen. Sorry for the late notice but I hope you can make it out!
So I was reading a review by a patient about his experience in Istanbul Turkey and I was more interested in the overall situation OF his experience and not so much of the details about his experience. What I mean is, it all seemed just so, I don't know, convenient. The guy started posting his questions about this clinic on March 31st of 2015. By April 9th of 2015 he was saying that he found a negative review of the doctor but that it seemed suspicious and he was booking … read more
